Anxiety disorder

Anxiety disorder is a blanket term covering several different forms of a type of mental illness of abnormal and pathological fear and anxiety.
Anxiety disorder is divided into generalized anxiety disorder, phobic disorder, and panic disorder.

We all go through some sort of anxiety, but not everyone experiences the same symptoms.
I can say I started having these "panick attacks" maybe about a year ago. One day, I had a coffee which I barely ever did before, or anything that contains caffeine (coke, energy drinks, etc). I felt like my heart was beating so fast and at one point I felt like I was going to blank out and faint. What I did I went and took a bath, and played some relaxing music on my ipod. And honestly it didnt fully go away. I had to drink tons of water to clear it out of my system. I just try to tell myself that I am fine and that it will stop soon.
I went to my dr. right before my trip to Europe last year. I do have a fear of flying so I asked him if he can prescribe me something. He told me Xanax would deffinitely help me. Before my flight  I took one pill and my mind started racing. It is all in your head too. If you cant control your mind nothing will help you. I was getting nervous, the plane took off and I started shaking. I was thinking if I take another one it will calm me down for sure. That did not work at all. It gave me the opposite effect. I was more paranoid then ever. In my case the meds did not do anything for me. So be careful. I obviously did not get not addicted or anything. But we all know how xanax and other medication is highly addictive especially if you have an addictive personality.

More recently I started getting panick attacks without having any kind of caffeine. My stress level is over the top, and having a lot on your mind can cause this.
There are reasons for this and you should always talk to someone if there is something bothering you. What you can do is:
1) Close your eyes and concentrate on taking slow deep breaths.
2) Ask yourself, “Why are you scared?” And then list every reason you’re scared or nervous at that moment. It allows your mind to understand hey, I am getting upset and these are the reasons why. Then you can find all the positives about the situation.
3)  Keep a sand stress ball in your purse. When you have an attack, squeeze it. It will help get blood moving through your body faster. It also helps distract you and will take away the attack faster.

Panick attacks are horrendous and not something that should be ignored.

Hope you all have a stress free day :)
